We grew up with the sea and the whales!
Hi, I’m Finau, and along with my husband Noa, we proudly own and run Diana Beach Resort. Our serene retreat is located on the beautiful Uoleva Island, right next to Lifuka Island—the main island of the Ha'apai group. Lifuka has a small airport and a ferry harbor, making it easy to get here. Uoleva is a peaceful haven with only four resorts spread across its 4 km length.

My parents founded Diana Beach Resort, and after they retired, Noa and I took over in 2023. We’ve worked hard to bring the resort back to its full glory after the 2022 tsunami. We offer traditional Tongan Fale (beach huts made with woven palm leaves) that give you a unique beachfront experience and a true taste of island life.

Before running the resort, Noa and I started our whale tours in 2013, giving us over 11 years of experience. We both grew up on Lifuka, so we know these islands and their surroundings by heart. We are the only Tongan whale tour operators in the Ha'apai islands and the only Tongan-owned resort on Uoleva. In 2024, we’ll be operating two boats, so all our guests will have plenty of chances to enjoy whale watching.
At Diana Beach Resort, we offer many activities besides whale watching. You can book snorkeling tours, fishing trips, island hopping, and starting in 2025, kayaking. There are also lots of things you can do on your own, like exploring the island, checking out the reef, enjoying a bonfire, gathering and eating fresh coconuts, or just relaxing on the beaches or in our hammocks. With so much to do, our resort is a perfect vacation spot all year round!

Finau Molisi
Owner, Whale Guide
Finau is the owner of Diana Beach Resort and a licensed whale guide. She has been operating whale tours for over 11 years and has been managing the resort since 2023. Finau's extensive experience ensures guests have incredible encounters with these gentle giants. She is known for her warm personality, attentiveness to guests' needs, and her friendly, approachable nature.
Noa Molisi
Owner, Skipper
Noa is Finau's husband and a licensed skipper with extensive experience navigating open waters. Trained by the Tongan Navy, he knows the Ha'apai waters and reefs like the back of his hand. Noa approaches the whales with great care, and his deep understanding of their behavior makes it seem like he knows where they are headed even before they do!
